The Company
Our Company’s name is FERRARIO FOUNDRY: it was founded in 1972 by Mr GIANCARLO RUGGERI, who worked with care and passion. At that time FERRARIO FOUNDRY started working for the industry and in particular it made castings for several important machine tools producers, whose Companies were nearby.
As time passed, our foundry became bigger and bigger; in 1990 the industrial production was made wider and our first range of outdoor furniture, including benches and garden tables, was produced.
In the year 2000, Mr MASSIMILIANO RUGGERI, who is the son of the owner, joined the Company and his arrival gave a new boost to the business.
In 2002, FERRARIO FOUNDRY started making castings for the automotive industry and for motor components for a number of leading car manufacturers.
This is our corporate goal for the near future: our customers will be offered a service based upon quality products, upon their constant improvement and development, upon regular supplies, prompt customer service and deliveries.
Our Equipment
Expertise and modern facilities has always been very important for Ferrario foundry. Our foundry extends over 1500 covered square meters, while the building covers an area of 2500 square meters as a whole.
MOULDING
Ferrario foundry carries out manual moulding into moulds which can have dimensions up to 1500 x 1500 mm. The cores are placed manually.
FURNACES
In our foundry there are two furnaces: the first one melts 500 kg, the second one melts 300 kg; their casting capacity is 20 tons a month. The furnaces are equipped with rabble and hydraulic system.
POURING
The pouring is carried out by manual ladles as to the following capacity: from 50 to 200 kg. Ferrario foundry can use more than one ladle for heavier castings.
QUALITY
Density and porosity tests, quantometer for analysing metal alloys and stress-strain test. We can carry out also radiographic analysis and non-destructive tests upon customer’s request.
